Katherine is also a dancer for Brazilian dance company, Katumba, who regulary perform at Copacabana, Crown Casino, and corporate events.

As of 2009 Katherine is a fully qualified Zumba instructor. Katherine loves how Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away and how every class is a party!

It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes you can stretch in. For example; dance pants, legginsgs, shorts, tracksuit pants, singlet tops, leotards, tights, Etc. Please ensure your child wears appropriate clothes and shoes to and from class as well, especially during the colder months of the year. You would be suprised how many students leave bare feet or in the middle of winter with no jumper because they are “hot”. But this can be very bad for muscles and can cause injuries.

No denim!  No jewellery! No street shoes that will mark the floor!

No chewing gum or food is to be eaten during class! Please bring a bottle of water to class for hydration!

Our Adult Classes are fun, energetic, good for the mind and soul and a great way to keep fit. Casual rates apply (refer to Payment Method) and therefore you do not need to enrol. However, we encourage commitment to keep the classes running successfully.

The variety of styles we teach include Hip-hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Break dancing and Classical Ballet.  Our focus is on the development of the students dance skills, confidence and creativity. We believe in encouragement, discipline, determination, dedication and inspiring students to achieve their best. We insist on a safe, professional approach.

Our teachers are currently working in the dance industry and can offer this knowledge and experience to the students. They are dedicated and want to share their passion for dance. Above all, the classes are full of fun and enjoyment.

• All students must be courteous and respectful to both teachers and fellow students at all times.

• All students/families must be respectful of our surrounding neighbours and leave quietly and promptly after class.
• Students will be supervised at all times during their classes; however, it is the reponsibility of parents/guardians to promptly collect their child from the studio, NOT THE CAR PARK.

• Do not enter the studio while classes are in progress. Generally, we do not allow parents to watch classes, in order to maintain dancer concentration and focus. Exceptions can be made for some first timers. Throughout the year, we will have open days for families to come and watch their child(s) progress. We ask that all observers respect the students and do not talk or cause distraction.

• Any behaviour/conduct/language by the students that is deemed to be unacceptable by the school will be reported to the parent/guardian. Students consistently ignoring these requirements will be unable to participate in class.
• Students are required to follow the school uniform regulations, be groomed correctly and be on time for all their classes.
• No chewing gum or food during class. Only water is permitted. Please note Shee’k Studios has a strict NO NUT POLICY. If you do provide your child with a snack between or after classes it must not contain nuts.
• In case of illness or injury where parents are uncontactable, Shee’k Studios will seek medical advice and act accordingly where treatment is deemed necessary. The cost will be incurred by the parent/guardian.
• All choreography, group dances and annual performances taught by Shee’ks teachers remains the property of Shee’k and/or its teachers. It may not be used without the specific permission of Shee’k and/or its teachers.
